1. What kind of teacher did Margie and Tommy have?

Ans- Margie and Tommy had mechanical teachers. The whole education system was computerized with preloaded lessons of different subjects. The lessons and the questions were all shown on a screen and there was a slot where they had to put their homework and test papers, written in a punch code. The mechanical teacher calculated the marks in no time.

2. Why did Margie's mother send for the computer Inspector?

Ans- Margie's mother send for the computer Inspector because Margie  repeatedly came up with poor performance in her geography subject. Therefore she thought that there might be some electrical or malfunctioning with Margie's teacher.

3. What did he do?

Ans-  The Inspector had repaired her teacher. The geography sector was geared to higher level and he lowered to the standard of average ten year kid. He inspected her mechanical teacher and closed it. Her teacher was all set to go again.

4. Why was Margie doing badly in geography? What did the Country Inspector do to help her?

Ans- Margie was doing bad in geography because there was some problem in the set up of her mechanical teacher.  The level was high and later the Inspector geared it down to her level and her teacher was all fine. 

5. What had once happen to Tonny's teacher?

Ans- Tonny's teacher had blanked out completely once. The history sector was completely deleted. And it was taken away for nearly a month to restore and repair.

6. Did Margie have regular days and hours for school? If so, why?

Ans- Yes, Margie had regular days and hours for school. She studied at one particular time as her mother told her that studying at a regular time will improve her and she will learn better. But she got off on Saturdays and Sundays.

7.How did Tommy describe the Old kind of school and teacher?

Ans- Tonny described the old kind of school was a separate building where children went and studied and with real teachers who gave them homework and asked them questions.

The teacher were real human beings and not machines. The the teachers were smart and intelligent enough. They knew everything just like the machines.
