Brown in his thoughtful Book, The Global Economic Prepective points out that our earth principala biological systems are four- fisheries, forests, grasslands and croplands and they form the foundation of the global economic system. And human claims on these systems are reaching an unsustainable level, a point where their productivity is being impaired. Over fishing is very common everyday, deforestation is seen in larger areas. Grasslands turning into barren wasteland. Thus, due to unlimited use earths principal biological systems being depleted.

Ans- The author agrees that the growth of the world population is one of the strongest factors distortiing the future of human society because it is in fact one of the strongest factors. The more the population the more the scarcity of jobs , food and which would results in poverty. Fartility falls as the income raises, education spreads and health improves. Thus, development is the best contraceptive but developed itself maynot be possible if the present increase in number continues.
