Road   Not Taken-

1.       Where does the traveler find himself? What problem does he face?

Ans-  The traveler finds himself stuck with the two roads that diverged in yellow wood.

The traveler faced problem to decide which road to choice, or which road to walk.

2.       Discuss what these phrases mean to you.

i.                     A yellow wood

ii.                   It was grassy and wanted wear

iii.                 The passing there

iv.                 Leaves no step had trodden black

v.                   How way leads on to way.

Ans- Generally yellow colour is defined to the leaves in the autumn season. Therefore, yellow wood is defined to the forest in the autumn season.

ii.  The second phrase defines that the second road is full of grass and that shows that the second road is least chosen  by the travelers.  And wanted wear hear means that the traveler wants other people also to choose the second road so that it becomes plain and less grassy.

iii. The phrase “the passing there” refers to walking on the road.

iv. Leaves no step had trodden back means there is no foot steps coming back and the yellow fallen leaves were not crushed by any travelers.

v How way leads on the way here the phrase means that the traveler is wondering if he will be able to come back and where will the road lead him.

3.       Is there any difference between the two roads as the poet describes them:

i.                     In stanzas two and three?

ii.                   In the last two lines of the poem?

Ans-  i. No, there is no difference between the two roads as the poet describes them in stanzas two and three as he says the road he choosed had grass and there was not much used. Otherwise both the roads were same.

ii.                   In the last two lines of the poem talks about the road that was less choosed. And his choice made him different from others.  Here the line also describes about the really life choices where a person has to accept the challenges and take their right decision. And the decision makes the difference, and impact his or her life.
