A Thing of Beauty:

1.       List the things of beauty mentioned in the poem.

Ans- According to the poet John Keats the list of beauty is a constant joy for ever, it never passes into nothingness. It provides us a quite bower and fills our sleep with sweet dreams. The beauty around us gives a pleasant and comfort life. Among such beautiful things Keats points out a few that include the Sun, the moon, the trees old and new, Young sprouting a shady boon, the simple sheep, Daffodils with the green world, the clear rills, the mid forest brake, fair musk roses that bloom among the thick forest ferns and the grandeur of the dooms.

2.       List the things that cause suffering the pain.

Ans- According to the poet John Keats the list of beauty is a constant joy for ever, it never passes into nothingness. It provides us a quite bower and fills our sleep with sweet dreams. 

    But in the midst of beauty there are things that make us realize the meaning and worth of beauty; as we are surrounded with despondence and inhuman dearth, thus he lists some of things that causes suffering and pain are dark phases of our life, adverse circumstances, gloomy days, death of noble people and bad health.

3.       What does the lines, “Therefore are we wreathing a flowery band to bind us to earth’s suggest to you?

Ans- This lines refers to the relationship between human emotion and nature’s beauty. Despite of the all the despondence, inhuman dearth, gloomy days, a bond of love and feel the pleasure is created by the beauty of nature. Therefore every morrow we are wreath a flowery band to bind ourselves to earth.

4.       What makes human beings love life in spite of troubles and sufferings?

Ans- Human beings love life in spite of troubles and sufferings because the many shapes of natural beauty dispel the gloom the dark days and fill our life with seventy and happiness.

5.       Why is grandeur associated with the mighty dead?

Ans- Grandeur is associated with the might dead because of their glorious deeds in past. They have left behind a lofty legacy for us to follow. The tales of the might deaths are lovely which is compared to endless fountain of immortal drinks, that is poured on us from the heavens brink.

6.        A thing of beauty is a joy forever. Elaborate.

Ans- The above line is abstracted from the poem “ A Thing of beauty” by John Keats. John Keats is a great Romantic poet. The poet in the poem A thing of  beauty  tells us that beautiful things bring immense pleasure and delight.

                             Keats in the very first line says ‘ A Thing of beauty is a joy for forever’. According to him the thing of beauty leaves behind an everlasting joy, it never turns into nothingness, rather it goes on increasing as time passes.  It is a constant source of happiness and pleasure. Its loveliness increases every moment. A thing of beauty is never devalued and never passes into nothingness. The thing of beauty keeps a quiet bower for us, it provides a sleep full of sweet dreams. Keats marks out of few things of beauty, that include the Sun, the Moon, The tree old and young simple sheep, the Daffodils, clear rills mid forest brake, the grandeur of the dooms, lovely tales might dead. All the thing of beauty around us provide an endless fountain of immortal drinks, which removes away all the pall and fill our life with joys and happiness.

WHAT IS THE MESSAGE THAT JOHN KEATS WANTS TO GIVE THROUGH " A THING OF BEAUTY"?

ANS- The very first line of the poem conveys the message of the poet. John Keats was a worshipper of beauty. A thing of beauty is a joy forever. Beauty never fades. nor is it devalued. it never passes into nothingness. A thing of beauty removes away the pall of sadness and sorrows and gives us joy and pleasure.

WHAT INCREASES CONTINUOUSLY IN A THING OF BEAUTY?

ANS- A thing of beauty gives  us eternal and everlasting joy. It loveliness increases day by day. It stays in our imagination and becomes a source of joy forever. It never passes into nothingness. It gives us sweet dreams and happiness and removes the cover of sadness from our soul.
